The Motherson location in Tschirn (formerly the Dr. Schneider Group) is located not far from the mother plant in Kronach in northeast Bavaria. Since 1985, parts for middle and upper class vehicles all over the world have been supplied from here.
Our approximately 170 employees manufacture around 75,000 products every day for almost all well-known OEMs and 1Tiers in the automotive sector.
Our core competencies of injection molding, painting and assembly also come together at this location, with the branch in Tschirn being one of our competence centers and lead plant for 3D robot painting.

The location is located directly in the Rennsteig region in the Franconian Forest Nature Park. The area around Tschirn is ideal for hiking or cycling. A popular excursion destination is the Ködeltalsperre, which lies in the middle of the typical low mountain landscape and is one of the largest of its kind in Bavaria.
The arnica town of Teuschnitz is only 6 km from Tschirn. One of the rarest and most powerful medicinal plants, arnica, blooms here - along with around 50 other medicinal herbs. The chocolates from Confiserie Burg Lauenstein are made at the foot of Lauenstein Castle, which towers over the tranquil town of the same name.
