A highly accomplished and results-driven manufacturing leader with over 15–20 years of extensive experience in automotive component manufacturing, specializing in automotive mirrors, exterior lighting systems, and high-precision plastic injection molding operations. Proven expertise in managing large-scale manufacturing facilities encompassing plastic injection molding, vacuum metallizing, painting, surface coating, and complex assembly processes for Tier-1 automotive suppliers and OEM customers.

- Manufacturing & Operational Excellence Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations including Plastic Injection Molding, Vacuum Metallizing, Painting, Surface Coating, and Final Assembly.
- Achieve and sustain world-class manufacturing performance through improvements in OEE, productivity, throughput, and capacity utilization.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and automation initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules and JIT deliveries to OEM customers.
- Provide technical oversight on optical-grade plastic molding (PC, PMMA), tooling, mold maintenance, and process optimization.
- Ensure robust process controls for metallizing, hard coating, painting, UV curing, and assembly operations.
- Lead process validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement programs.
- Support new product launches through APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and production readiness activities.
- Maintain compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Interface directly with OEMs and Tier-1 customers regarding quality, delivery, audits, escalations, and continuous improvement programs.
- Lead customer complaint investigations utilizing 8D, Fishbone Analysis, Why-Why Analysis, and CAPA methodologies.
- Drive a zero-defect manufacturing culture and improve customer quality metrics.
- Lead multifunctional teams comprising Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, Supply Chain, and EHS.
- Develop succession pipelines and strengthen organizational capability through coaching and mentoring.
- Deep expertise in Plastic Injection Molding (specifically optical/clear plastics) and mold maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of Surface Treatments (Vacuum Metallizing, painting, hard coating).
- Hands-on experience with automotive quality core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Plastics, or Polymer Engineering. A Master’s degree or MBA in Operations Management is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 15–20 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, with at least 5+ years in a Plant Head or Operations Head role.
- Extensive experience working with Tier-1 automotive suppliers in the mirror or exterior lighting domains.
- Location Specifics: Familiarity with the Pune automotive ecosystem, local supply chains, and local labor compliance is highly desirable.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certified.
- Experience in integrating electronic components (LED modules, sensors, BLIS indicators) into plastic assemblies.
- Proven track record of successfully passing VDA 6.3 process audits.
