Our plant located in Puebla, MX is looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Traffic & Material Planning Regional Manager to join our team!
The Traffic & Material Planning Regional Manager is responsible for ensuring material availability, resolving shortages, optimizing inventory via MRP, managing lifecycle to prevent obsolescence, monitoring packaging, coordinating transport, and implementing cost-saving improvements including pre-logistics analysis.
What you'll do
- Improve logistics aligned with delivery, quality, and financial goals
- Manage supplier/customer delivery issues and conflicts
- Oversee product change compliance, costs, and price negotiations
- Apply customer activity plan in plant scheduling (MRP)
- Negotiate transport costs with providers and Corporate SCM
- Report plant results and key indicators to Corporate Logistics
- Plan Tier 2 material acquisitions and ensure subcomponent supply
- Optimize inventory and prevent obsolescence
- Control transport arrivals and manage pre-series material events
- Escalate supply chain risks and coordinate corrective actions
- Communicate with suppliers/customers and manage premium freight recovery
- Validate onboarding/training and ensure team performance
- Promote SAS environmental system and compliance with VDA, IATF 16949, ISO 14001
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, environment, process efficiency, and quality

What we are looking for
- Engineering degree or equivalent
- 5+ years in automotive or related industry
- Engineering background with logistics and material procurement exposure
- Knowledge of MRP and SAP for material planning
- Experience in supply chain management
- Familiarity with FMEA and ECR management
- Understanding of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards
- Knowledge of ESD requirements, SOP/EOP, and supplier procedures
- Ability to perform pre-logistics cost analysis
