Our HQ located in Troy, MI is looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Financial Analyst to join our team! 

The role of the Senior Financial Analyst is to support and develop reporting for the Americas Region of Motherson SAS Automotive Services. The position will be responsible for conducting in-depth financial analysis, building and maintaining financial models, and providing actionable financial insights to support decision-making.

What you'll do

  • Communicate effectively with finance and non-finance colleagues in domestic and international locations to ensure complete, accurate and timely reporting and intercompany transactions. 
  • Prepare monthly journal entries, accounting analyses, reconciliations, and supporting workpapers.
  • Prepare monthly reporting in accordance with close deadlines.
  • Work with external auditors to ensure an efficient audit process.
  • Review reports to ensure intercompany balance sheet and P&L differences are investigated and corrected for month-end.
  • Assist in streamlining of existing processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Act as a resource and point of contact to colleagues within the regions. Provide guidance and assistance with business requests.
  • Assist with accounting and tax projects, as needed.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in Accounting/Finance, Automotive Manufacturing a plus.
  • Self-motivated with high degree of drive and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements with attention to detail.
  • Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud-Based Software, FCCS preferred.
  • Experience with MS Office, advanced Excel knowledge preferred.
