What you'll do

  • Define and prepare technical documentation to support equipment procurement.
  • Advise cross-functional engineering teams on optimal equipment and tooling solutions.
  • Collaborate with purchasing to select the best technologies for wire harness production.
  • Support production plants during equipment installation, release, and parameter setup.
  • Stay ahead of market trends and introduce cutting-edge technologies across operations.
  • Attend technical fairs and scout innovations in wire processing, crimping, testing, and HV production tools.
  • Maintain a released-equipment database for future projects and standardization.
  • Contribute to budget planning with accurate equipment specifications and cost inputs.
  • Conduct technical audits to ensure consistent application of procedures and standards.
  • Work with quality and maintenance teams to update work instructions and spare parts lists.
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing, best practices, and lessons learned across manufacturing sites.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in the wire harness industry or similar manufacturing environments.
  • Solid background in industrialization and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Familiarity with modern technologies (AI experience is a bonus).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and diagnostic/performance measurement tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Readiness to travel ca 15%-20% of time.
