- Experienced Injection Moulding professional with strong expertise in injection moulding process control, troubleshooting, process optimization, productivity improvement, and engineering polymer processing. Proven ability to control and stabilize moulding processes, reduce process variability, improve productivity, and achieve production and quality targets.
- Hands-on experience with PC, PMMA, PBT, PA6, PA66, and PC+ABS materials, along with good knowledge of auxiliary equipment such as CFS systems and dehumidification systems. Skilled in robot programming, EOAT development, technical control, administrative activities, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and maintain positive employee-employer relationships. Focused on achieving quality, productivity, cost, delivery, safety, and process-efficiency objectives.
Key Responsibilities / Task Description
- Responsible for injection moulding process setup, parameter optimization, process control, and machine start-up activities.
- Monitor and control critical process parameters such as temperature, pressure, injection speed, holding pressure, cooling time, screw position, cycle time, and mould temperature.
- Troubleshoot injection moulding defects such as short moulding, flash, sink marks, warpage, burn marks, flow marks, weld lines, silver streaks, dimensional variation, and colour variation.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for process and quality problems and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and standardize process parameters and work instructions to maintain consistent production quality.
- Work on process variability reduction by identifying critical process parameters and implementing process-control measures.
- Monitor cycle time, machine utilization, rejection, downtime, and overall productivity to achieve production targets.
- Identify opportunities for cycle-time reduction, rejection reduction, material saving, and productivity improvement.
- Coordinate with Quality, Tool Room, Maintenance, Production, and Engineering teams for effective resolution of process-related issues.
- Handle processing of engineering polymers including PC, PMMA, PBT, PA6, PA66, and PC+ABS, ensuring appropriate drying, temperature, and processing conditions.
- Ensure proper operation and control of auxiliary equipment such as CFS/chiller systems, dehumidifiers, hopper dryers, temperature controllers, and material handling systems.
- Monitor material drying conditions including drying temperature, drying time, dew point, and material handling practices to prevent moisture-related moulding defects.
- Perform robot programming and optimization for automated part handling and machine integration.
- Support EOAT (End-of-Arm Tooling) design, development, modification, and validation according to part and process requirements.
- Optimize robot cycle and automation sequence to improve machine utilization, operator safety, and productivity.
- Establish and maintain standard operating parameters, process sheets, checklists, and control plans.
- Analyze production data, rejection trends, downtime, and process performance to identify improvement opportunities.
- Implement continuous improvement and Kaizen activities related to injection moulding processes.
- Support new mould trials, machine trials, material trials, and process validation.
- Conduct mould and process trials and document trial results, observations, and recommended process conditions.
- Ensure proper implementation of technical and administrative controls within the production area.
- Monitor adherence to SOPs, work instructions, safety requirements, quality standards, and production plans.
- Train and guide operators and technicians on machine operation, process parameters, defect identification, troubleshooting, and standard practices.
- Maintain effective communication between management, supervisors, technicians, operators, and supporting departments.
- Support achievement of production, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery targets.
- Prepare and review daily/weekly reports related to production, rejection, downtime, productivity, and process improvements.
- Promote a positive working environment and maintain strong employee-employer relations through effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.

- Proficient in processing a wide range of engineering thermoplastics, including PC, PMMA, PBT, PA6, PA66, and PC+ABS, with sound knowledge of material drying, processing conditions, moulding parameters, and defect prevention. Strong technical knowledge of CFS/chiller systems, dehumidification, hopper dryers, temperature controllers, robots, and automation systems.
- Skilled in robot programming and EOAT development, including automation optimization, cycle-time improvement, and integration of robotic systems with injection moulding machines. Experienced in identifying process abnormalities, conducting root-cause analysis, troubleshooting moulding defects, reducing process variation, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Demonstrated ability to drive productivity improvement, cycle-time reduction, rejection reduction, machine utilization improvement, and process standardization. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach to manufacturing challenges.
- Capable of handling technical and administrative responsibilities, including production planning, manpower coordination, process documentation, SOP implementation, performance monitoring, team development, and cross-functional coordination with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, Engineering, and Production teams.
