Our plant located in Sterling Heights, MI is looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Plant Quality Engineer to join our team!
The role of the Plant Quality Engineer is to provide the coaching and leadership to ensure the application of the FIS system to meet internal and external customer requirements. This role will be working in relation to the third shift, from 10PM-6AM EST.

- Act as the customer's voice within the plant, resolving their concerns daily with Production and Engineering.
- Train staff on Motherson SAS quality principles and customer specifics, championing QSE activities.
- Manage the quality system via UAPs, leading continuous improvement with quality tools and data analysis.
- Investigate defects, recommend and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain control plans and confirm PFMEA updates.
- Handle PPAP submissions (initial and re-PPAP) with the Program Quality Leader.
- Input and resolve external complaints in QSSC, ensuring timely, FIS-methodology responses.
- Assume Plant Quality Lead duties for program launches when assigned by the Quality Manager.
- Support ISO 14001 Environmental Policy and EMS, ensuring team compliance and contributing to environmental programs.

A profilja
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an industrial environment (ideally in the automotive industry)
- Proven competency in Control plans, D/PFMEA’s, Process Audits, & ISO/TS 16949, Key characteristic management, 8D/Corrective action skills, APQP, MSA, SPC, & PPAP.
- In-depth knowledge of quality engineering techniques
- Good knowledge of Program standards, tools, and methods
- Strong Customer satisfaction orientation
- Above average communication skills and interpersonal skills
