Toolmaker
39 hours (m/w/d)Based in Portchester, UK. We are looking for an experienced Toolmaker to join our Toolroom. This role is a double day shift position.
What you'll do
• Repair and modify internal injection mould tools.
• Manufacture of jigs and fixtures for internal use.
• Liaise with Mouldshop Setters & Supervisors.
• Work on injection moulds whilst still in machine.
• Development of tooling processes & preventative maintenance.
• Comply with the TPM schedule and maintenance plan.
• Completion of paperwork-based activities such as TPM check lists, new-tool check sheets and pink ticket information.
• Maintain and look after Toolroom equipment.
• Undertake work in a timely fashion & to a high standard of workmanship at all times.
• Assist in team meetings for tooling related issues.
• Comply with the Health & Safety Policy and observe all the safety rules to ensure your personal safety and the safety of others.
• Ensure that you comply and adopt the 5S programme regarding the organisation of your work environment.
• Any other tasks that may be required as requested by the Toolroom Supervisor.

What we are looking for
- Full apprenticeship or time served as a Toolmaker.
- Current forklift licence (desirable).
- Previous toolmaking experience.
- Experience of all workshop practices and the use of pallet trucks and lifting equipment.
- Knowledge of hot runner systems and injection mould tools.
- Skills in milling, turning, grinding, polishing and benching.
