Our facility located in Puebla, MX is looking for a hands-on Senior Materials Planner to join our team!
The role of the Senior Materials Planner will be responsible for ensuring material availability and resolving supply issues by planning optimal inventory levels. This position will manage inventory within established parameters to support projects and operations while maintaining service levels, minimizing investment, and aligning with company financial objectives.
What you'll do
- Ensure material availability and resolve shortages
- Analyze cycle counts, identify root causes, and adjust with cycle counter
- Maintain accurate SAP master data (parts, suppliers)
- Plan demand, generate orders, and monitor deliveries
- Manage stock levels, transportation, and delivery windows
- Track deadlines for changes and modifications
- Communicate with clients and suppliers
- Monitor and document supplier performance; implement ASN processes
- Upload ASNs when missing; manage critical part acquisition
- Track materials from dispatch to plant; control internal and in-transit stock
- Manage special orders and packaging returns
- Supervise KPIs and use VW tools (Proceso, BESI, PDE)

What we are looking for
- 5+ years in automotive industry (VW client)
- Bachelor’s/Engineering degree
- Expertise in materials planning & logistics
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel) & SAP
- Knowledge of transportation regulations
- Strong APQP & VW pre-series launch experience
- Skilled with VW tools (Proceso, BESI, PDE)
- Understanding of IATF 16949 & product safety
- Advanced English proficiency
