Motherson Logistics (SMGCL) is an exciting start-up organization within the Motherson group that has taken up an interesting path to bring synergies in areas of logistics for the group, worldwide. We are currently looking for new candidates to join the European branch of Motherson Logistics as Senior Logistics Expert specialized in general logistics. Senior Logistics Expert - Packaging.
Your task
- Build up relationship with the key logistics contacts of the Motherson plants in Europe
- Support manufacturing plants in their logistics project planning activities that include
- Defining the right packaging / protection solutions (internal / external) for the products
- Calculating amount of packaging material required for the project lifetime
- Liaising with Customers and Suppliers with regards to packaging design and approval
- Work with the purchasing organizations to find most suitable supplier for the defined packaging
- Participate in activities targeting to increase the packaging vendor base in Europe
- Work with the regional plants in their efforts to convert their packaging solutions to reduce CO2 emissions
- Define packaging standards to be used regionally, as appropriate
- Scan the market for latest trends in packaging, attend exhibitions, share information with regional units

Your profile
- Have the will to participate in the process of creating something new and support the growth of Motherson Logistics in Europe
- Extensive experience in the field of packaging / product protection and transport solutions used specifically in the automotive sector
- Knowledge and understanding of packaging design principles
- Experience with the process of how projects are launched in an automotive environment
- Past exposure to project management at an automotive company is a plus
- Have high level of English language knowledge, further EU languages are a plus
- Ability to work independently, successfully monitor and drive multiple projects running parallel
- Ability to spend time abroad frequently, but not excessively (individual short trips)
- Work with a sense of urgency to deliver results
