Our plant located in Newark, CA is looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Quality Engineer to join our team!
The role of the Quality Engineer is to be responsible for all issues with regards the quality process, health & safety and the plant environment.
What you'll do
- Liaise with the production team on all quality related issues
- Monitor day to day issues with regards health, safety & environment
- Ensure compliance with national legislation
- Perform Process Audit within the related areas (Supplier Process, SAS Process)
- Development of risk management
- Report quality issues (Claims coming from Customer, SAS Line, Supplier) & identify root cause
- Deliver training sessions on all relevant aspects of Quality
- Establish & maintain safe systems of work within his area of responsibility
- Lead and able to substitute the related Quality Technicians
- Define & Manage Quality Planning & Documentation
- Create the JIS facility internal audit schedule
- Support Continuous Improvement Process
- Planning, Realization & Management of related equipment
- Accomplishment and Coordination of Initial Sampling
- Authorization to block & release production

What we are looking for
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position
- Experience with FMEA, SPC, ISO 14001, ISO TS and IATF 16949 and VDA 6.1
- Experience leading work- teams nice to have, potentially 1st time experience
- Problem-solving experience and methodologies
- Product & Process knowledge
- Fluent English
