Our plant located in Sterling Heights, MI is looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Project Engineer to join our team!
The role of the Project Engineer is to coordinate the integration of proposals of customer and SAS into our internal change database and administrate material master data of productive materials in SAP.
What you'll do
- Lead and implement customer and internal changes using the EC/ECM database.
- Act as the SAP champion for Material Management, BOMs, and routings (MM, DB, CA).
- Organize and lead cross-functional Engineering change meetings.
- Ensure preparedness and adherence to the ECM system, including cost analysis for change requests.
- Lead customer meetings, expediting communication with the plant as the change owner.
- Guide internal departments through the EC management process and associated costs.
- Inform SAS departments about SOP dates based on customer information.
- Monitor and respond to specific customer requirements promptly.
- Assist with additional assigned tasks.
- Partner with Sales for financial success in Engineering change management.
- Own the Pilot build process, including production schedule and part availability.

What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in an industrial environment (ideally in the automotive industry)
- Knowledge of quality system (ISO TS/IATF 16949, VDA standards)
- Knowledge and use of MS Office, MS Win7, SAP
- Knowledge of logistic processes in JIS environment
- Knowledge of methodology and principles of change management
